Bullfrog

This is a bullfrog. We heard it before we saw it. Coral Snake heard it first and North Star saw it first. It was loud. We could come very close to it before it jumped back into the water.

Hey, that big old frog looks very familiar. Maybe because I was the photographer. I've seen only one bigger than this one, and that was the one and only "Jumbo".

Thank you for your notes! We think we know who 'anonymous' is. Hi Dad! We'll put up more pictures after vacation.

Great photo. This makes a great new way to do nature journals and I'm all for it. :-)

My across-the-road neighbor here in NC has a pond and some bullfrogs that sing together quite often. I *hear* them, but I've never seen them, so thank you for letting me see what a bullfrog actually looks like! They certainly will not win a Beauty Contest, will they? [unless other frogs are the judges!] RIIIIIBB-BIT! (is that the right sound for a bullfrog? or is it 'burrrrr-RUM'?)
